
I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to be flabbergasting. I’m not one of those people who thinks that racism is an outdated problem or that “white people are discriminated against too! Boo hoo!” or anything like that. In fact, as far as I can tell, considering this racist is lending credence to the notion that black skin is something DIFFERENT, implying that some alternate skin color (white, as so kindly determined for us by those in power) is NORMAL. Now I’m often able to be proven wrong, which is why I asked the question. I suspect someone very likely has a legitimate answer for me that will put this in perspective.
Ok someone else needs to take the wheel on this one for me. I just….can’t.
Why’s it even racist? Black people are black, Kanye’s black… Dude’s just tryin’ to look like Kanye. I don’t understand. I’m not saying people aren’t racist or that racism doesn’t exist or even necessarily that this dude isn’t racist, but why this act is inherently racist escapes me.
